Application process takes four steps*

*Application process and key dates differ slightly for the EMBA course. If you are interested in studying an EMBA, please book a consultation with our EMBA recruitment coordinator. 

 

 

You will be required to submit the below supporting documentation with your Postgraduate application:

  • Resume: outlining professional work experience and responsibilities
  • Proof of citizenship: Evidence of Australian/New Zealand citizenship/Permanent Residency required before enrolment e.g. current passport or birth certificate.
  • Original Copies of academic records, mark sheets or transcripts for studies previously undertaken must be provided at the time of application. English translations are also required for documents in another language. The transcript must show all subjects undertaken, grades and stages reached or qualifications gained.

Other documents may be requested on a case-by-case basis, such as evidence of meeting English language requirement or evidence of name change.

When you submitting an application for a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration, Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, MBA or Executive MBA you will be required to submit the below supporting documentation:

  • Proof of citizenship: Evidence of Australian/New Zealand citizenship/Permanent Residency required before enrolment e.g. current passport or birth certificate.
  • Statement of motivation, one page explaining why you want to undertake the MBA (MBA only)
  • Original copies of academic records, mark sheets or transcripts for studies previously undertaken must be provided at the time of application
  • A detailed resume including details of previous positions held including a general description of duties and responsibilities, key achievements within the role, the number of persons who report(ed) to you and the number of hours worked (if employed on a part-time basis).

AND one item from the below list that supports the last three years of work experience:

  • A letter from employer(s) on company letterhead confirming employment duration, and the position details. The letter must include the position title, telephone number and email address for a contact at the company.
  • A letter from your current employer confirming employment duration and position details on company letterhead
  • Payslip from current employer with reference of job title and duration of employment
  • Official Tax Office documentation such as a Group Certificate or Payment Summary
  • Official current employer documentation confirming your employment (Annual Reports, Company overviews, external publications etc)
  • Other proof of employment may be considered by Faculty on a case by case basis

If you are self-employed, the documents submitted as proofs could include:

  • Articles of incorporation (or other evidence of business ownership)
  • Evidence of self-employment income
  • Documentation from third-party individuals indicating the service provided along with payment details

If you are apply for the Master of Business Administration (Executive) you will also be required to attend a interview with the Master of Business Administration (Executive) Director of Academic Program.

If your employer has a corporate partnership with the Sydney Business School, UOW, you can receive a corporate partner discount completing and attaching the Corporate Partner Discount Student Request Form in the employment details section of your UOW Online Application.

 

  1. Change of name: If you have changed your name or any of your documents show a name that is different from the one that you have used in your application, you must present evidence of the change (marriage certificate, deed poll, statutory declaration).
  2. Specific needs: If you have a disability and require advice or assistance with your studies, please get in touch with our Disability Liaison Officers.
  3. Accommodation: The cost of accommodation is not included in the tuition fees. See accommodation options on or near campus.
  4. English language proficiency: If you are a domestic student and English is not your first language, you’ll have to provide evidence of satisfying the University's English language requirements.
  5. Tuition fees: We have many financial assistance options available to students.
  6. Cancellations and refunds: See UOW’s Tuition Fees and Refund Policy.
